Good questions

Is it really free?

Yes — free forever, and open-source (MIT). No ads, no subscriptions, no accounts. It's an independent fan project, not a company.

What ages is it for?

Roughly 7–13, but younger kids love exploring with help, and older kids can dig into the real JavaScript preview and harder robot-coding puzzles.

Does it need internet?

No. It's one file with everything inside — sound is even synthesized in the browser. Once you have it, it works anywhere, forever.

Is it really "like Kano"?

It's inspired by Kano's spirit — making tech friendly and hands-on. Koda is independent software, not affiliated with Kano Computing, and doesn't include their hardware kits.

Can I use it in a classroom?

Yes — that's exactly the kind of use it's built for. Free, offline, no student accounts, and the source is open so you can adapt it.
